Thanks for the effort in posting this. This presentation was the catalyst to a much longer text on 'national typefaces' for ISTD's Typographic 74 (2024).

Sad to see ABC Sans discussed as an 'original' design when much was borrowed and later re-adpated from other designer's projects (although maybe this is appropriate as a more accurate reflection of 'colonial' Australia as it has evolved today).
