This like everything else trump has done makes zero sense.
If my Netflix subscription doubles as a consequence of this, I'm cancelling it.
This will backfire big time when countries slap a 100% tariff on US films.
It is too expensive to film movies in the U.S. That's why they aren't making them in U.S. anymore. Follow the money, stupid Prez.
Congress needs to step up and assert their authority to set tariffs, the President has lost the plot.
There is no end to the continuing illogical craziness.
Dude thinks the world revolves around America ๐ Nobody gives a shi about their moving being released in America in the first place
The problem with Hollywood is the lack of new creative ideas, too many gatekeepers protecting the fixtures of their industry. They, meaning the industry, need more creators like me
This has to be one of the stupidest things he could do. When it comes to my support for my country, and dislike for Trump, I'll quite happily forgo American movies.
Time to sell all my netflix stock!
Sinister, Nefarious, Dark, and Evil.
This is not going to end well if every country behaves similarly towards American movies.
If the movie is made in the US but filmed with a camera made outside of the US is it technically a foreign film?
I am an Indian... I do invest in Indian equities.... I understand how tariffs and businesses work... I can't control my laughter at this man's deeds...๐๐๐... He speaks seriously but acts like a kid...Poor man he doesn't know how to manage his country's debt without printing๐๐ต... I feel sorry for him...๐ข๐ข๐ข..
Heโs a mouth breather. Listen to any other world leader speak English, they all speak better than him. He talks like he is still eight!
Bring back "black & white" silent movies!!!
Does that mean no more indian movies ๐ฎ
Telling people where they can spened thier money and free expresion has got to be one of the top thing's of i think am a king๐๐๐๐๐
Yeah this makes so much sense! I guess American movie makers will no longer be free to make movies in other countries about other countries? How can you do a film based on something happening in Italy or France if you are forced to make the movie at home? Should Hollywood start creating replicas of the Coliseum in Rome and the Eiffel Tower in Paris to make viewers think the movie is in Italy or France, but is actually in the US so they won't get slapped with 100% tariffs? I thought American movie producers and actors make lots of money that goes back to the US Government coffers in the form of taxes? Why doesnt the US build a wall around all its borders and exclude itself from the rest of the world. Why don't they close all business trade to the outside world? Better yet, why not build itself a bubble or dome and live under it and the rest of the world can forget about them too!
