The export bans could backfire. What if China catches up and even ouperforms nvidia/intel/amd in the chipmaking process. Maybe in the future, China might do the export bans on US.

I am 65 years old and spent my first 30 years in China while the rest in US. To my memory I don’t recall a time when China wanted to achieve but failed in the end.

Huawei is supported by most sane and just people in the world. It has been producing great products before all the bans and still is doing so even when it is being attacked by the most "powerful" country on earth. May Huawei win in every way possible.

Indeed and when Huawei introduces a gamer changer in tech.....thats when it gets amusing. Its when Huawei has what everyone else is desperate for that the whole show becomes the amusing circus it was always going to be. The US havent read the script properly, short sighted as always. Your "allies" will soon show their true colors when it comes to something nobody else can give them....

Huawei train has long left the station. Thanks to all the restrictions and sanctions placed on Chinese companies. China thrived 5000 years without US (240 years) technology. US and ilk are now already submerged halfway in the coming years.

I am reminded of the first book from the Foundation and Empire series. At the start a member of the empire meets a stranger from the foundation.
