@dancovich

I only ever consider a mute character as myself if there's a dialog system. Just seeing a mute character gesticulate and everyone gets what he's saying when I'm not the one choosing dialog options makes me think the character is mute

@PawnxPawn

I remember reading about this years ago. It was related to Legend of Zelda and why Link don't have a voice.

@SkydivingChiken

I never self insert myself in games

@Danish_chad

This makes sense. Rpg games tend to not have a voice actor. Fx Fallout new vegas and 3, all Zelda games. Etc

@CatPeachYT

I disagree with this, I feel much more connected to a character if they have a personality and have struggles. But i understand people like it the other way

@Vertexxwizard

I personally prefer games where the main character has a voice especially the game Firewatch after some time you get used to the voice and it feels more realistic

@gubgub4182

Regardless of opinion on the topic, the way of thinking about WHY things should or shouldn't be in your game is really good for the overall product.

I personally believe that having reason beyond "its a game" for mechanics and gameplay make for a much better end product.

@sboooom6982

In first person games its make sense but for third person with full face character nonsense 😂

@StarSilver0222

I like both syles nine sols wouldn't even work if the character didnt have a voice, but I can't imagine portal with one.

@PrimarchRoboleonFrenchyman

I never self insert, that's why I don't mind playing any kind of character and can do so much rp run on rpg

@ragnarofarhua

As anyone who's seen Niko can tell
I like Oneshot (and Niko ofc)
The game is unbelievably good at immersing the player. Niko doesn't have a VA (neither does anyone) and has just dialog which is fine.
Despite that, how the FUCK did this game get me on the verge of tears 😭
