If we all pay taxes individually then our votes should count individually.

@elijahherring8356

thank you for having an unbiased informational video.

@dsheadthegamer451

I still don't know what an electoral colleges is and I have rewatched this video 3 times

@jaspercs

this is a great video very informative!

@Christoph1888

America is not a nation its a federation which is the entire reason for the college

@RapisWife

POV: you were forced to learn this in school

@rogermaris1965

video missing one main logic. The Electoral College prevents or tries to prevent states with high population deciding who is President for the rest of the country. The Electoral College is suppose to even out the playing field for this very reason.

@kabirsingh7986

Amazingly Explained Thank you.

@antonw-uw4ov

The fail to mention that the EU has the exact same system with the key difference that the Electors can vote for whoever they choose and they do not tell you wich presidential candidate the will vote for in advance. And it does not even things out in the way it does in the US since france snd germany runs the show anyway.

@yuankun99

This video was awesome. thanks. I finally understood.

Who and how are electors selected for electoral college

@thebipolarbear1

Very honest I appreciate it . What a amazing voice btw

@unleashedbread6146

I’m struggling to understand why the electors vote all in unison per state?

Let’s say a state has 100 people in it and 4 electors. if 75 people vote for candidate A, and 25 people vote for candidate B- why can’t one of the four electors cast their vote for candidate B in the national tally.

In other words, why do they vote in unison?

@WhtieMilkOnly

This is slightly wrong. Each state' electoral votes aren't individual electors. it's a number based off the population. Same with how congress and the senate are made up. If there was an individual elector per electoral vote, theoretically, a states votes could be split. This is not the case. All of a states votes are together, never split. this is because popular vote on the state level decides the ALL the electoral votes outcome. Majority votes red, All votes go red. Majority votes blue, ALL votes go blue. There aren't individuals who decide the final outcome of each state. That would be election meddling. I don't know why there is so much misinformation on this topic.

@jcv71

For real Democracy in the USA, the USA needs to have a mandatory third political party and remove the unfair and politcally & morally illegal Electoral College. There is no reason why a citizen from some state should have more voting power than a citizen from another state. Equal voting rights should be it. Popular Vote is a must as it is anywhere else.

@alpas390

I'm just wondering if California has 40 million people but only has 2 senators and one state has 1 million people and also has 2 senators are all people being represented equally?

@WillemUtUje

This report is missing some key elements, I believe. Saying it's a 'winner-take-all' system doesn't do it proper justice.

@MattMendians

They should! This doesn’t make any sense to me! My opinion it should be a election, every registered living citizen’s vote should count as the same! My opinion!

@timrothgeb416

You fail to explain the role of slavery and the 3/5ths compromise. Slave states wanted power from their slaves but clearly would not let them vote which means a popular vote was out. Remember that the father of the Constitution, James Madison favored a popular vote.
