Thank you everyone for your incredibly kind feedback! And a massive thank you to the Happen Films team for the opportunity to be featured again and document this little project. Shallots of love xxx K
I love how she is sensitive and kind to the spider (and other creatures coming to her garden) and still producing a significant amount of food. ❤️
It's such a shame that people like Kat aren't in charge of our beautiful but increasingly broken world. She's inspirational.
I started my veggie patch in August 2023, as well as a food forest in my front yard. Summer, here in Cape Town, South Africa has been brutally hot and a lot of my veggies bolted so I saved seeds. The food forest is slowly building itself up. This is a fun journey as I am a pensioner with little spare cash, so growing food is saving money and getting good nutrition. No poisons used here at all. Great movie, shows what can be done.
I remember your first film of her garden so vividly—it helped me decide to transform my garden, too. I’m far, faaaar from what she has accomplished, but every day, every month, every year, I make small changes that slowly add up. And in a horrifying world, it provides great solace and joy. So thank you for what you do—you are changemakers.
Imagine if every backyard had such greenery & abundance
I‘ve watched her 5 years ago. Back then I started on my balcony. This year I am going to start my dream here in our rented garden. Everyone around me is saying „No, that won‘t work out. The soil is bad. Too many snails, you will stop tranig after a year.“ I am manifasting their faces after they eat my first sourdough Pizza with vegetables and Salad AND my strawberry icecream with vegetables, fruits and eggs from our garden. I will never give up. And I hope so much to inspire the people around me to try. This area here is so sad. We Are living in an ould village. When I was a kid there were a few farmers here where you could by the eggs from the chickens you watched on the fields. You could buy fresh milk and there was even a little bakery with an oven out of stone (?) where you could buy bread and cake on sunday. NOW there is just ONE Farmer left. His cows are indoors the whole year around and just a big franchise bakery near by. Everyone has grass and bushes in their backyards. No flowers, no fruits, no vegetables, nothing. I mean we‘ve got all the potential here, nothing happens. :( So here I am with a big dream and a strong will ❤
The perfect way to live in the city.
The people that control the systems want you to think and believe this can't be done or it's too hard. It's not. Everyone can do it on whatever scale they are able to. You really don't need much space to grow an abundance. 💖
Thank you for making a video/film that can be watched. Many YouTubers resort to irritating gimmicks like rapid edits for no reason, zooming in and out, moving graphics. etc.
She was one of favorite episodes, I'm so glad they did a revisit. With the aerial shot, I just now realized, "Wow, it really is a tiny yard!"
Must smell wonderful all around that yard. What a treat, and inspiring.
I think it is so important to put your head down and garden this is my therapy
Just 1 minute into the video, I paused just to say thank you very much for an update on Ms. Kat Lavers!!! I've been waiting for this update for sooooooooo long!
Hi, I'm from Germany and when I discovered the first video 5 years ago I instantly fall in love with The Plummery and saved the video on my computer. It was an inspiration for me, how to transform my own vegetable garden. This is a wonderful update and affirms the importance of growing you own healthy food.
Those are one of my top favourite videos about small gardens and what one can do with them and also tiny houses. Something that is feasible for most people. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us.
This was an absolute joy to watch! Her beautiful garden and demeanor was calming and incredibly inspiring!
Don't forget that you don't need a dryer. You can dry your clothes in the sun. Put a clear roof overhead if you are afraid of bird droppings.
Good to see you and your home again. So much has happened in 5 years. Your soil is amazing. 😊
