@ryankay3213

Beni may have been a worm, but you have to admit the man is cultured.

@Extra_050

This scene encapsulates Beni's personality quite perfectly. He is willing to betray even the prophets and deities of the world's major religions, as he does people, for his own self-preservation.

@metaltak1154

I have to give Beni credit for knowing English, Arabic, Chinese and Hebrew for a Hungarian

@Jinseual

This guy reacts to CGI better than any of the actors in Starwars.

@Pedrosdanckwardt

Two things are hilarious in this scene.

1. Beni wears protection amulets from like all major religions just to save his own ass. So sneaky.
2. When Beni says "my prince".

@lewisspink9468

0:52 I love the way he say "no? ... okay" like that's not a problem let's see what else we got. 😅

@trbossdoggy

When I watched this scene as a child I couldn't even look at the mummy. I was so scared. It was incredible animation for 1999. Still not so bad.

@ventingshow4995

CGI or not, the Mummy looks terrifying here, they did a good job.

@haldosprime3896

0:32 Beni praying to every religion is such a great moment and in character for the cowardly schemer he is. It's kind of odd that I've never seen any other character do this at some point. It's really underutilized but maybe that's for the best.

@Fummy007

When the mummy thinks Beni is jewish he offers him gold.

@IsaacRM92

The actor who portrays Beni is freaking hilarious in this movie! So underrated 🤣

@LordSeethe

To be fair, it's pretty impressive that he learned how to speak English, Arabic, Mandarin, and Hebrew; and although he's never shown SPEAKING ancient Egyptian, it's pretty apparent from this scene that he can at least UNDERSTAND it.

With skills like that, he should've dropped mercenary work and ended up working as an interpreter. He would've gotten WAY richer, and he would've been MUCH safer. Oh, Beni, Beni, Beni. Always on the wrong side of the river.

@LordOrlock

Remember to carry as many religious symbols as you can with you at all times.

Just in case.

@EmilyGloeggler7984

That moment when he says “The language of the slaves” is chilling.

@AnarielAnastil

I will never not laugh at this scene. Beni dragging out all the necklaces, and Imhotep’s reaction is just: “Seriously?” Imhotep just slowly walks forward after that because he’s halfway curious to see how far he’ll take it. Hahaha! Beni is the best.

@Razzy1312

Lol. Knowing full well he's in Egypt he goes for the Buddhist necklace before the Jewish.

@smonyboy

"qiu qiu pu sa bau hu wo"

"please buddha, protect me"

lol he actually said it quite fluently.

@nick56677

U gotta give Beni his props. He became best friends with the most powerful being on the Earth. And the rewards were endless.

@ButteredToast32

Did that mummy just pull a bunch of gold out of his butt ._.

@MrNicktoonslover

it's funny how beni has different religious amulets and prays in the language of each one thinking it'll save him
