So, that "levels of the internet" thing is legit a super nerdy joke commonly used by computer science and engineering students and professionals. I think it might have started on 4chan or reddit, but when I started my CS degree in 2012 it was already a pretty common joke that would be pulled out when anyone asked about the internet, at least in the Boston area. Holy cow, I can't believe people are still falling for that.

I like how in this very strange video's interpretation the internet is just something that already exists like a physical place and we're gaining access to it more and more with greater technology. Instead of it just being like I don't know a bunch of computers connected to each other and sometimes connected to really big computers, and sometimes its encrypted.

The Infographics Show was slightly better when it first came out. I wouldn’t say good outright, but it was better animated and explained more. When they realized it was content farm material they really scaled back on everything.
