Dope!! Been looking for how to optimize my Shure SM58 without upgrading completely

@PSYCHONAUTAustralia

Great stuff, man! Killer useful ideas!

@weheadnorthband

Nice one - very honest and simple hints, thx for reminding me on buying a fethead some time. See you soon dude

@Tomogeny

Great video with all the info I was looking for, thanks man!

@whipsyofficial

Nice, the pop filter makes it really good. I didn't expect such an improvement over the foam (I was using it for my first song on Spotify). I own the same pop filter - when I will be recording next songs I will just use the pop filter for sure. Thanks!

@GeebsBurnerAccount

Great tips! I already do all of this, so I know they are good lol

@bandninkasimusic6484

Thanks for the tips.

@Ayr0music

great video!, glad i found you bud

@milanga_here

Thank you dude, cleared up a few things for me

@Bigwoody95826

Thanks! I never thought about taking the ball off-:) I will try and do some homerecording today with a singer. We were wondering why the vocals were not loud in the mix and my friend sings loud.I should probably get that connector you recommend at like 6min.

@levaaaaaanah

You are so awesome dude 🌹

@jasper_north

Do you think a windscreen is also better for singing??

@levaaaaaanah

Guys, I need help... I have just bought my new STagg SDM50 with lockable on/off switch... However I don't know as the switch isn't locking into place...what do I need to do?

Also...why is there a on off switch if the mic doesnt work? Does it also need the XLR cable inserted in order to work as a mic?
So frustrated...help!!!
Thankyou xx

Hi,
I was just wondering
Is the cloud lifter or pre-amps necessary when I try to do home recording?
I currently have sm 58 mic with the following accessories
1. sm58 purposed pop filter cover
2. regular pop filter for any condensor microphone

I noticed that when I use sm58 microphone on ableton, although the sound sounds pretty loud enough, the graph marked / drawn on ableton is a lot lower in altitude than I did when using AT2020 condensor microphone.

I also wonder if it is alright to increase the gain knob from Focusrite 2i2 audio interface that I am using. What would be the adequate gain for home recording for rap / vocal?

I would really appreciate if you could help providing any suggestions for possibly the best combination and setting for the homerecording done by SM58!

Thank you, and I hope to hear back from you.
