@TheBuurPit

Really appreciate the update video. I didn't grab the sim at launch and I'm really glad now. I'll wait until it's in a better position and carry on with 2020 for the moment. Thanks again 👍

@Ryder-415

I couldn't agree more Mark. Well said.

@tomc1380

I’ve uninstalled 2024 (Again!) and gone back to 2020. While 2020 isn’t perfect, it still works better in VR, for me anyway. I’m definitely going to wait until at least su4 before trying 2024 again. Thanks for you vids mate and best cheers from Australia.

@_zeranom

I spent 300 € for the super duper aviator limited edition…as a tribute to Jörg Baumann. I was an idiot, stupid flightsim enthusiast who believed the big promises. I forgot that I need years to get the MSFS 2020 perfectly running, special in VR. Why it should be different and better with the new sim ? Well, hope will never die, but I am totally frustrated with the MSFS 2024. Tried ofc the new update 2.0 (also betas before) and again is VR experience a disaster for me. I have fun with msfs 2020… and like the developers said, still a lot of work to do, so I expect nothing good before 2026. Thank you for your video, so I can see I am not the only person who seems to be disappointed from such a hyped product.

@fergie41

Good to hear your take on the Dev Livestream. I watched it and my view was that the team seem totally war weary with the whole thing. I bought FS2024 but it was unusable with my internet speed. I got a refund and I am very happy with 2020 and can’t see me switching again.

@poolhallshark

Great video, Mark. The devs need honest and detailed feedback. That being said, I am quite happy with the 2024 now, and it is my daily driver 🙂 Greetings from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

@m.d.7269

Sadly, MSFS2024 remains a total joke. Great video.

@bobp1564

Thanks , Mark. I agree with your conclusion and do not see an imminent fix; so much so that I have returned to MSFS2020 to regain sanity and enjoyment of the game. It is a shame that the developers are not more conscientious to the mess they have created and responded more responsibly. Keep up the good work; we appreciate your support to the community.

@Gideonsmythe

Great video. Thank you for the update. I will be sticking with FS 2020 for a while yet it seems. The first big improvement is being able to store content on my hard drive, which I believe is now in the SU3 Beta, but thank you for highlighting how poor the route planner is. I'm not an aviation expert and just love flying from one place to another, the UI in FS 2020 was pretty straight forward. Now it's an absolute nightmare. FS 2020 is actually pretty good now and significantly better than the title that was supposed to replace it.

@kiaya20

Thanks for the video, I’m staying with 2020 also.. hopefully your right about sim update 4.

@Six-6-strings

Love that you are totally unbiased in this. You appear as frustrated as the rest of us. My biggest issues (on xbox) are in career mode I'll stick with a mission till the approach and everything goes to crap with controls and graphics? This and very bad connection issues

@pshattuck1

While I appreciate the continued improvements, I agree with Mark that the control assignment section is one of the worst pain points. What I would like to see is the ability to import a configurations that the FS community might have perfected, rather than each simmer having to go through the process. The combinations of the most popular peripherals are not that numerous.

@thehighwayman78

I still havent fully understood the different between general controls aircraft controls and specific airdcraft controls. And like you said. No help or explanatory text. This is usually a problem with developers being too into their code and ux, so everything is self evident to them, and they miss what is not clear to everyone else. This is usually a problem that points to too little UX / usability testing on real people. Source? I'm a certified usability analyst and have worked with usability testing for 15 years. The sim is full with things that i constantly go "How could they miss this? Have they user tested this at all?" If they have, they are doing it wrong. If they had 10 random people try to setup the peripherals they would probably immediately notice 80% of the most glaring problems. It's fascinating this is not seemed to be done. Instead they use community sourced bugs and wishlists. Do they do any hands on user testing themselves? Preferrably with the Devs monitoring so they can see for themselves what problems people are having.

@ZenonZolek

Great title, thank you

@ABeech-zv5ri

The announcement of FS2024 raised my eyebrow as I thought it seemed a bit premature, so let’s not talk about a new sim until at least 2030… please.

@popsr712

Nice job putting this video together Mark. I read in an article they only had 500 full time employees dedicated to 2024 project. I think it’s time they bring Austin in to show them how to do it right!!

@garryscanlan235

Elegantly done, Mark. What computers/peripherals do their QA use to not see the control profile issue? Same with Tobii at first. They are either incompetent or don't care. They've got our money.

@mike605

I am just staying with 2020.

@infinitewisdom9619

Your final words describe it very well. I'll be happily flying in MSFS2020 for the unforseable future, especially because a lot of the addons are just working better there, or are not at all compatible with MSFS2024 (f.e. ChasePlane and other //42 products).

@skadvani

Great video. I will move to FS 2024 after SU4. Till then I am happy with Fs 2020. Thanks for your good work. Cheers 👍
