Thankfully my notepad and calculator app don't need that jumped up speed.
Awesome... Just tried it on my main work repo and it's very much faster, although also I'm not sure why but it is giving quite different output than tsc (ie, no errors according to tsc). Something to look at next week.
I already know a few code bases that could benefit!
tried it on a react project but it did not pick up the type errors I included. the blog post mentioned jsx support but I don't think it is complete
10X is pronounced "ten times", not "ten ex". It's a multiplication symbol, not a letter X.
it ate tons of memory and the tsgo process stuck running even after quiting visual code. later on, it crashes

UGH WHY YOU SAY REWRITE its *porting* they keep the same behaviour
The fact that they didn't choose to self-host is all you need to know, it's a toy language and not to be taken seriously by anyone doing actual work, especially if it's performance sensitive.
