@SomeplaceOrAnother

That was the most dramatic DJI flight I've seen. First you crash into the water and it doesn't die but instead flies home then it looked like it flew right through those high power lines. Wow that's one lucky drone ðŸĪŠ Good luck with the replacement drone 👍

Great video 👍, liked & subscribed, thanks for sharing ‾ïļ

@Cosmozic

Does it still fully work now?

@droneageuk

So was that just the gimbal the dunked and then uou managed to pull up and get it home? Great video, I like the background music and ofc a lovely place to film. Liked and subscribed 👊🏞 😁

@PerryNacionales

Wow, good thing it came back. When flying low on the ground (or water), your drone uses the optical flow and infrared sensors to keep track of speed and elevation -- it doesn't work so well on water as the surface is too uniform for the flow sensor and infrared is absorbed by water (the drone doesn't get an accurate elevation reading). So, don't fly too low on the water specially when it's flat, calm, deep, or it's getting dark. I had a similar accident as yours, with a mavic air 2, but mine took a drink for an hour before I found it. I rinsed it when I got home, took the battery out, and let it dry for about three days. It started back up when I finally turned it on. I kept my drone but you are right to send yours back - that camera most likely got damaged from impact.

@PicturePilot

Glad you got it back...luck on your side.

@DroneManMurphy

Does anyone know if the Mavic 3 sinks instantly or if it sinks slowly? I crashed mine in the lake yesterday and know the gps coordinates but it will help the diver if he knows how long it takes the drone to sink. ðŸĪĶ‍♂ïļ It was completely avoidable too. Uggggg!!!
