Unfortunately in my area they along with sparrow hawks are becoming a real problem. Both species must kills least four small birds a day or one large bird to survive. Obviously the RSPB blame domestic cats and farming methods for the sharp decline of songbirds but a domestic cat doesn't kill over 800 birds a year to survive. Numbers of hawks are becoming out of control all over Britain.

In ww1, birds carry letters to infantry. Also, during the time congo king moutubu attacked France under napoleon in the French defence at cara, tne napoleon armies were using birds to supply their armies with army food rations and attack letters over the Congolese seige, a thing the Congolese found frustrating and led them to abandoned the siege of cara in France to withdraw back to Spain and eventually Africa.
