Thanks
I spent so many years as a child imagining how they did this! Itโs good to finally know how itโs really done
who else watches these videos not because you do this for work or because you need to know it but because you are actually interested in it
30 year marine pile driver and diver, I have been on many of these jobs .The last coffer dam sheet pile I cut was on the seven mile bridge in the florida keys. There were two in Moser channel . I cut the sheet pile underwater at the mud line. If i remember correctly it took me two days on each cofferdan. The bridge was built with cassions , only the main high span had cofferdams. I was a independent diver working for Miser marine.
Can you go into more depth on how the coffer dam is removed? How can they be cut at that level safely? Wouldn't water rush in and create a hazard?
Am I an engineer or engineering student? No. Do I ever plan on working in construction or the building of a bridge? No. Did I watch the whole video? Yes I did. I So fascinating to me. ๐๐
I was about to go to bed but suddenly had a question on how they do underwater construction. Thanks for this, now I can sleep.
Thanks
This is the best engineering channel by far. Straight to the point, very educational, clear explanations and graphics. Well done my friend
Human ingenuity has never failed to amaze me, I mean everything from thinking of a solution to building the pile driver.
I swear if all people existed till now had iq same as me , we all would still be in the stone age.
This is so complex. Thank you to the civil engineers who do this work.
I thought they build the structures first, then install the ocean around them
Iโm a civil engineer student and it makes me proud that I understood and are familiar with the terms and steps they describe here
8:48 indians are too good in teaching ...like you and that random maths teacher on yt who save me from failing
1:56 I bet some people would love machine
But how about water pressure pushing wall at 8:11?
It simply amazes me how engineers come up with all of these techniques. Simply remarkable.
Loved the illustrations. It helped us our better understanding on how bridges were built in the middle of the oceans.
