you can make any kind of character input you want, but you have to use the "text" input for everything, but password.

@v0nni

HI- great tutorials. can you create a php tutorial that will continue this section? I am very interested in connect html forms with php.

@Carino9999

I can't figure out what should I do. My form is not working and I know that I need a web server but I was just practicing.

<html lang="en">
    <head>
      <meta charset="utf-8">
        <title>my page<title>
    </head>

    <body>
      <form action="#" method="POST" name="my_form">
        <input type="text" name="username">
      </form>

    </body>
</html>

I don't know the issue. Can anyone help me so I could understand more about the form element. Is it a necessity to have a web server just to practice the form element?

@Wazzzaaaaap

@Fuchsia5

For some reasons, whenever I do the HTML, it doesn't appear in the bottom window. I actually have to open it into a browser to view it. Any reason why?
