@yousuf4evr

Luca is one of the few famous polyglots who is not selling you apps, language program, his products. He is just teaching you to learn a language. Period

@JohnnyWestMagic

When I was young my English teacher looked my way and said: "Name two pronouns."-I said: "Who?Me?"-Teacher: "Well done, Johnny!"

@nevraelisaveta7009

As someone who's suffered memory loss and who's a disabled polyglot, this video was super useful!

@menuhin

Ways to use implicit learning to learn grammar:
1. Massive exposure 4:51
2. Comprehensible input 5:04
3. Meaningful interaction 5:23
4. Live as many experiences through the target language in the real world as possible 5:49
5. Get emotional 6:12

@DaniloPabloxD

Every time you read something about learning methods that state "the only you'll ever need ..." is good to know beforehand: it's not the only one. And may not even be the best and/or more suitable to your learning style.

@SamuelDiaz21

As a bilingual speaker working on becoming trilingual this advice was amazing! I'm super motivated to not only continue being fluent in my second language but to improve the way im which i go about learning my third language.

@ernestoberger7589

When It comes to grammar, nothing better than learning implicitly and then structuring and organising that knowledge through explicit learning. This first part gives you a valuable automaticity, the second gives you confidence for using a d manipulating the language.

@StillAliveAndKicking_

I never understood what Stephen Krashen meant by acquiring and learning, the terms were too vague, and undefined, aren’t both examples of learning? Implicit learning and explicit learning are much better terms, much more clearly defined. I like this video, it’s always interesting to hear your thoughts on second language acquisition.

@ashtond6390

Hey Luca - just checking in. How are you doing mentally, physically, emotionally, etc.? I hope you're well, and thank you for still making videos. Hug

@renegade-spectre

As a language enthusiast myself I have to say all the points in this video hit home with me. I have never agreed with every single point in a language learning video before…all other language YouTubers talk about language learning apps mostly and other fluff…and are usually click baity..and although I wasn’t taught anything from this video as I’ve been doing this method for years for learning Japanese, Korean and Italian. This is the first video I watched from you Luca but you got yourself a new sub because of a well made video and actually down to earth and straight to the point explanation. I can attest this method does work :)

@arthurtosi

Luca, can you make a Daily Vlog? Showing your routine and the way that you really study with details, would be awesome.

@raissacruz8498

Me encantan tus videos. Gracias por todo lo que enseñas.
Cuándo vuelves a hacer otro video con Lucrezia Oddone? Ustedes son los mejores.

@pablomadera6271

Grazie mille per condividere questa informazione. Me parece importante saber que se puede aprender idiomas con otros métodos menos ortodoxos. I remember when I was learning English and implicit learning was truly highly effective for me. Com certeza desse jeito será possível estudar linguas muito mais rápido e de uma maneira muito mais eficiente também. Ich danke dir noch mal.

@dairan1336

Hi, I am Italian and I fully agree with what you said. I would like to stress that learning grammar implicitly is not learning it.Grammar is learned only if it passes from the explicit method which in reality only concerns, perhaps, 10% of the human population (writers, proofreaders, journalists, grammar professors 😉 and little else). Obviously explicit grammar is an excellent bridge to connect two different languages, but if you can use the full immersion method you will learn a new language through implicit grammar again. The challenge is rather to understand why explicit grammar is taught so much at school, ruining the lives of hundreds of thousands of students. Some ideas I have.... Bye, thanks.

@joelgonzalez9467

You are such an amazing person

@ilgrandepaperino74

Probabilmente uno dei migliori video su come imparare una lingua. Molto interessante.

@hyagosales5513

My mother tongue is Portuguese, and then I've noticed that it was easier for me to learn both English and French than it has been now for me to learn Turkish. That's exactly what you have brought up here, the distance of the languages may explain this. Turkish has very different structure when compared to Portuguese. Anyways, I keep on workish hard on it. Thanks for your videos,Luca.

@markodejanovic1635

You inspired me with this video Luca. I'm learning german, I realized that I'm more focus on explicit learning grammar. But when you know better you do better

@SenyoritaStoic

Omg! This is so true. I am more into inplicit learning and rarely do the explicit . Been studying the Spanish language for about 6 months now and I already understand almost 80 percent by just always watching series/ movies on netflix, you tube and listening to podcast and a little chatchats with friends. I just study grammar at least thrice a week. Lol. And one more thing, we really should know what type of learner we are. In my case, I am not a fan of writing cuz when I do, I wont remember anything. I remember things by just simply listening .. I havent jot down anything in my entire almost 6 months of studying and just been using the internet and totally indugle myself in Spanish in everyday living. Lol. But perhaps, If im going to learn languages like Chinese, Nihonggo or Russian I'd be force to take notes cuz their letters are different. Lol. Pero gracias por este video señorito chulo! Saludo desde Filipinasss!

@h.miller1892

For German grammar cases I had my friend write every One down. I didn’t study them over and over, I just view them when I read clarification. Being told what genders do what and when has helped me become a better reader and speaker.
