Firstly, I chose "True" on the second question because clearly if you are talking about an extinction, you are talking about more than 8 billion people. But this is just information we know previously, and our answers must be based on the passage, not from information we know.

The "right" answers to #39 and #40 are illogical, or perhaps it would be better to call them "biased". It seems that the issue is not with English but with understanding the logic behind those who devised this test in such a polemical manner. It is shameful from my perspective, especially considering how much this test costs.

I took my CD IELTS on 4th Oct… I completed two passages in 50 minutes and left with only 10 minutes to attempt the last passage.. I was out of time unfortunately.
