The thing is, if they help you calorie control and keep you satisfied rather than having cereal with a bunch of sugar and calories then they are absolutely healthy. Healthy is whatever you can stick to, to keep the weight off. I've been in the fitness industry for over a decade and absolutely preach, the best diet is the one you can stick to and magic spoon is an enabler for me so I absolutely consider it healthy.
As someone with prediabetes I love their cereal. It's close enough to the real thing without spiking my blood sugar.
Let me save you time: Magic Spoon is "neither bad nor healthy, it's simply different" from a micro-nutrient standpoint. Good video but it was long and vague. No clear answer really.
Shipping went from 4.99 to 21.99 so no more magic for me.
Fruity imo tastes just like fruit loops 🤷🏻♀️ my grandkids agree. Choc chip cookie similar to Cookie Crisp. I’m happily surprised. Fruity definitely the most and doesn’t taste less sweet either.
The thing about keto is that it makes me feel so serene that downsides start to seem like upsides. "Obsessive thoughts about food" more like another fun thing to think about that means I won't get bored. "Restrictive" more like I get some guidance deciding what to buy so I don't get choice paralysis when I grocery shop.
Listening to you, I got reminded of the pink Himalayan salt scam. Which it is. It's just marketing. What I realised, especially in most recent years, is that we just need to pay attention to the food we buy & NEVER trust the marketing claims
And now I'm dying for some honey joys. I might go ask my neighbours if they have some cornflakes
My favorite childhood cereal was Cap'n Crunch and my favorite cereals now are Grain Berry, Cracklin Oat Bran, Life, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and (Kellogg's) Raisin Bran. I hardly eat cereal anymore though.
Hey, love your videos, they have really changed my life! Could you please elaborate on why you shouldn't track protein? I've been doing intuitive eating for about a month and a half and I'm finally completely binge-free! However, I intensely strength train around 5 days a week and am still cautious about meeting my protein goals to build muscle. If I don't track protein, and specifically add high protein things that I don't specifically crave, even after I am full, I hardly ever meet anywhere near the recommended amount. How can I go about getting around this? I want to have even more food freedom but my goals are still important to me. Any advice would be appreciated.
Howdy, Mrs. Colleen. I actually tried this cereal today, and it's alright. I mainly bought it because I'm trying to lose weight by cutting back on carbohydrates & sugar. Usually when I buy cereal, I go for the General Mills stuff by the bag, since it lasts longer. Would Magic Spoon be a good substitute for helping out with weight loss? 🤔 Trying to go from 250+ down to 230, with no set timeframe. Just trying to get there. 😅
my issue isn't that I like sweets. I kind of generally don't like sweet things but I need a VERY quick breakfast which I used to do with protein bars, usually GoMacro these days. If I had time I would prefer a fried egg with toast and maybe halal turkey bacon. Last week I was on holiday and didn't eat it, then also didn't find it in store and somehow I found myself feeling healthier by switching to a different bar that I had but which didn't taste as good. I want to know is it a good replacement for GoMacro or similar protein bars.
I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Applejacks! Unfortunately my doctor says I have a fatty liver and need to cut down on my sugar intake, and having a bowl of cereal is part of my morning, every morning. I decided to order some of this Magic Spoon cereal to find out if it works for me, as I absolutely do not want to have to eat Corn Flakes or something else unappealing every morning.
It’s false that we need to eat carbs to live. A healthy human body can produce all the glucose it needs to thrive with fat and protein alone via gluconeogenesis, and the brain thrives more readily on ketones. Healthy Keto along with intermittent fasting changed my life.
just get cinnamon toast crunch (or whatever cereal you like), and add it to your smoothie bowl or just plain milk and boom. guilt free cereal lmao
Sounds like a bad cereal. You just don't want to say it. Too much waffleing.
Thank you for being moderate in this DIET sphere. I had several wise people say, "everything in moderation". words to live by
Very thorough, thank you. Disappointed that it contains dairy as I am vegan
I loved Smacks (the generic kind is called Golden Puffs, I think). I liked any kind, but that was my favorite when I was a kid.
