crazy how just last year we were celebrating 5 seconds and now we have one that just lasted over 17 minutes
“TONY STARK BUILT THIS IN A CAVE… WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS”
This looks like it came from a scene in some analog horror were they open a portal to hell or something
I visited this facility over the summer, and the UK's power grid managers have direct control over the 400k Volts they pull from to run these experiments. During peak hours for energy demand, the managers can pause experiments until more energy is available. Ironically, peak hours are when scientists go into work.
That will roast a few chestnuts.
I hope when we can run these 24/7 there's a livestream of this camera footage the visuals and sound are so calming and pretty
im in love with sound it makes
I think they could have done 70 but preferred to stick to 69...
It’s crazy to see that not too long ago the best we could so was 5 seconds. We can sustain this for more than 22 minutes now with it reaching about 50.000.000° (celcius i believe) and generating 2MW of energy. Thats enough to power 1800 average homes for a month!
oh this video is a year old. i was like "isnt the fusion world record like 1000+ seconds now?"
It seems like so little, but is a huge step forward
Remember, this ain't gonna make your electrical bill free lol
I awaiting the Prodigy, Firestarter to kick in with tunnel scenes like that 😮
So, less than 20 years? Super stoked!
Now it’s 1337 seconds held by France in under a year, technology really has progressed at a blinding pace. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
These are some pretty exiting times We're living in.
We are getting there, inch by inch. The hard work of all people involved must be highly appreciated.❤
If only they could solve the time dilation problem that makes them always remain 20 years from fulfilment.
I’m so glad the inside of a fusion reactor looks the way it should
