One phishing incident happened to a friend where someone called saying they (the conman) was a "bank rep" from their (correct). The said that my friend's credit card had been used on a child pornography website. My friend naturally freaks out. Vehemently denies it. The conman ("bank rep") said, "Of course, we believe you. But we need your information to clear the charge."
My friend gives their bank info.
They call back a few days later to see if the issue was cleared. But the real bank rep says they don't know what they're talking about—there is no issue with a porn website. Meanwhile, large unauthorized cash withdrawals had happened.

Thanks for great video. Any plans on doing a similar video on security in the DeFi space using Web 3 wallets?? For example, I recently learned of the default setting (essentially unlimited token access) using MetaMask when interacting with DeFi smart contracts.....scary. At least there's an option to limit the token access amount. I've also used other web3 wallets for DeFi protocols outside of Ethereum. No mention or option when 'opting in' to smart contracts. Does that mean there is always 100% access to funds in wallet when connected? With DeFi there seems to be an inherent degree of trust in the integrity of team and security of smart contract code. I enjoy participating in DeFi protocols, but in the back of my mind, there's always the fear of getting rugged.
