I will say, the rumors about Bakkesmod being a problem in the future aren't an issue. Rocket League partners with Bakkesmod for functionality during RLCS broadcasts, and it's more likely any dll injections will just be hard blocked during online play. So at the very worst, goodbye to custom items, mmr on scoreboard etc in online servers

I’m actually so glad you took the time to explain what was happening with the MMR this season. I ended last season at Champ 1 Div 3 and I am now sitting at Diamond 1 Div 4. I was losing my mind about how I could have possibly dropped so far.

The most upsetting part for me personally was that I had made a climb in skill from c1-c3 in the last few weeks of the season and I was hoping to make my first push for GC and now I'm back to where I started in the previous season without actually getting any worse.

A harsh reset was way too much to do without any announcement of it happening prior to the season starting. What they should do is just slowly increase the amount of mmr your lose in 2s each season until it's the same as the other playlists, then no one would complain. Doing drastic changes like that just makes us question Pysonix and it makes us think they have no idea what they are doing. Also I felt like I was finally making progress towards finally reaching GC 2 and being pushed back so far this season was highly annoying in trying to achieve my aims for this season.

2s reset was brutal because I was champ 1 and got placed in plat 3 so I’ve had to grind just to get to Diamond 2 rn

That person balldashing and getting 30 resets is insane. Ive only gotten 3-5 at best but then again i dont use tas.

The change made me quit the game. I spent weeks in the previous season solo queueing to get to champ 2 for the first time on the night the season changed. The next day I came on to find myself in d2. All the headaches, the stress of breaking through out of that division of ball chasers was for nothing, wiped away in an instant. (i had been diamond for over 18 months). During the time before the revert happened I tried to play and get back up. The playlists were abysmal. C3 opponents and d2 team mates. There's only so much you can do. So by the time the revert came I was in D1. It put me back to champ but the lobbies seem the same, completely mismatched skill levels meaning it was impossible to get any kind of winning run going, so i dropped from Champ again, and 2bh I can't see the point anymore. Terrible decision.

Its tough. Although i dont mind the idea of balancing out the ranks so that "C1" means the same thing across the board, I have been consistently getting better for the last couple years and this feels like a slap in the face. I reached Champs which felt like a decent achievement, then made it into maintaining C2. Now my duo partner and I are teetering on the edge of D3 and C1, meanwhile i feel like the best I've ever been.

I’ve actually seen a wide variety of MMR drops in twos. Both me and one of my friends only dropped about 100, (from GC1/C3 to C2) while most of my other friends dropped 200-300 (from GC1/C3 to C1). The interesting thing is that both accounts that dropped only 100 were similar ranks in twos and threes (around 1350) while the others were about 100-200 below there twos MMR.

1 day before season reset I was playing comp 2 ( I’m a champ) and my opponents were 2 straight up bronze but players they couldn’t do anything except drive in circles so I imagine they used a bot to climb up but idk and it was a weird interaction considering Physonix banned bots

8:08 i do agree with it too i was the same rank as you and dropped to c2 div4 after almost winning all but i think its fun the only bad thing is that there's actual c2's in c2 (i know it sounds weird but after a rank reset everyone should be lower) so the games are so luck based you can get a ssl or a normal c2 same with opponents

The rank thing happens in lower levels too, I'm D3 in 2v2, D2 in 3v3, and have been mid plat in 1v1, sometimes getting beat by clearly champion level players. The last couple of days I got close to D1 tough, so maybe its working

I hated the lowered MMR it pissed me off, Im mid diamond and constantly find low-mid champ players now, over the past couple days it has been getting better as they rank out but its just one more thing that makes beginning of season shitty
