So often young women end up as victims. I thank you for a great story of strength and resilience. A true heroine who, yes, saved herself.
It is a core belief of mine that though males, in general, possess more physical strength, I believe women are truly more adept at handling life, conflict, emotions, understanding, compassion, consensus building instead of conflict or violence. Look at any matriarchal groups (elephants, whales) and you see non-aggressive groups. Only protecting their own and their offspring evokes a rapid and deadly reaction. I say that testosterone is the most dangerous drug/chemical in the world. It causes wars, murder, and endless violence against women. Every generation of men is evolving past those negative outcomes.
