I’ve tried this with an cheap PMR 446 walkie-talkie and it worked just like in the video. It would be interesting to know how much power the hack rf has compared to an walkie talkie or hand held radio. Maybe an idea for a future video: test the range of it. Of course it depends on the frequency and antenna.
Great video
Is this version of the hach RF/porta pack H2 the signature edition, and if so would you say that version is the best to-date.
Only over amplified Rx can cause damage. Tx power will not damage, since it is transmitting, not receiving.
Ok so my plan is to send pulse modulated waves to transmit but portaback h2 transmit apps are not anything like that or is there a way to do that? Replay doesent let me run scripts and its the only one that has option for script to run in loop. But my question here really is i need full duplex tranceiver so should i buy another portaback h2 to act as receiver and other as transmitter or should i buy pluto sdr or lime sdr to get full duplex instead? And also i need the tranceiver to be portable without need of pc or laptop so it would have to run with battery just Like portabacks can im sorry this may be stupid question but i am new here and cant find help on the internet for this and dont feel like wasting money if plutosdr isnt even able to do both without access to pc or laptop
Does this work if radio has ctcs or similar codes enabled?
Might cover more in future... 🙂 Thanks for watching!
lol tech tips eh? That button on those headphones with a mic is to mute and unmute the mic. It is NOT a push to talk button like a walkie talkie. I noticed there was no example using that setup either.
The usb port flexing in the laptop 💀☠️
