The US has a unique political, economic, and social structure. That’s very fragile.

You were doing well, but went off the rails at the end. America is great because of our principles, ensconced in our primary laws. While our default position of "FREEDOM!!!" does require that we have some self control and decency, I would not say that we are unique as a group of people. The limits we have placed on government are what has empowered us individually and as a whole.
