Magnificent. Thank you for telling this story. And to all of America's veterans: I woke up in a free America today and I thank you for that.
Times were so much different back during ww2. Not many of the veterans left. Great presentation. Thanks for sharing.
When men were made of steel. God bless them all.
So interesting to hear the veteran's experiences. My Father was in the PTO, in the AAC, and wound up on a Dakota in the ATC. His older brother, Uncle George, was in B-25s in the CBI. My Dad's oldest brother was in the 4th Inf Div and was on Utah Beach on D-Day. My Dad's older sister, Aunt Freida, was a riveter in B-29s in Wichita, Kansas. Two of my Dad's first cousins were in the 25th Inf Div., PTO. My mother's older brother was on a Higgin's Boat in the ETO. Two of my Mother's first cousins were in the 101st AB Div. in ETO: also, at Bastone in the Battle of the Bulge. One next door neighbor was in the 82nd AB Div. While growing up, I heard many stories of these people's experiences in WWII. God bless the atomic bombs and God bless Harry S. Truman!
Thank you for a great movie, about America’s Greatest Generation!! About the only movies worth watching anymore!!
Fantastic. Men of that generation would weep at what USA has become.
very powerful and moving. my father was drafted following pearl harbor. I miss my father so much !!
Thank you, a marvellous film about a subject I knew very little about. Very informative & moving ❤
PBY Catalina Canso is my favorite aircraft of all time.
Glad you put this up. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you
excellent! amazing production. thank you!
Amazing.
I remember my mother saying it was the best birthday gift she ever received because the actual surrender was Aug 11 her birthday, but announced Aug 13
Documentaire très intéressant et émouvant.
If one would have Said No this would've been a No Go. Still jet! Respect! Semper Fi
Great film, but the technical adviser did little or no research. Pacific crews carried Colt 45 pistols and fixed blade knifes, usually a Bowie. My father was a B24 navigator in the pacific campaign.
respect all vets.!.If yoe don't i will Not respect you
He was charged with eating some of the POW THAT THEY CAPTURED.
Had to turn off the volume and employ CC. Another docu ruined by background music. Side note: Marsha Hunt, the actress interviewed here, lived to be 104. Died in 2022.
