US Hypersonic Glide Vehicle- US AGM-183 ARRW

The US military has claimed that it has successfully tested a hypersonic Weapon called AGM 1 83, Arrow. This weapon is believed to reach up to the speed of Mach 8 when gliding toward its target. Despite the claims of successful tests, the future of this US hypersonic weapon is uncertain.

The US initiated the AGM 1 83 hypersonic program, likely around 2,016. Sponsored primarily by Air Force funding, the program has spent over 1.73 billion US dollar since it started. There are uncertainties about the future of this program because no additional funding is allocated for it in the upcoming Air Force budget. Despite significant spending, the program was terminated in 2,023 due to multiple unsuccessful weapon tests. Even after the program was canceled, the hypersonic weapon underwent its final test, reportedly achieving success.
