There's a Walmart warehouse in Florida that has been retrofitted with so much automation that many of the workers are being displaced. Not laid off (at least not yet) but urged to learn new skills so that the robotics can handle all the tough tasks.
Klaus Schwab, of WEF infamy, sort of predicted this a few years ago when he popularized the term 4th Industrial Revolution and imagined a world where technology would transform the world as we know (or knew) it.
Is this the point where technology replaces more jobs than it creates? Or do employees just need to adapt?
