Set in the American South, Radio tells the true story of the friendship between a white high school football coach and a mentally challenged African-American student named James "Radio" Kennedy. The film chronicles the life-changing power of this friendship and the positive impact that the recognition of Radio's dignity and value has upon an entire community.
The film stars Cuba Gooding Jr., Ed Harris, Brent Sexton, Riley Smith, Debra Winger and Alfre Woodward.
