Pope Leo XIV becomes First American Pontiff

In 2025, the Catholic Church elected a new Pope, Robert Francis Prevost, now known as Pope Leo the 4th. He is the first American to become Pope and the 267th leader of the church. Born in Chicago in 1955, Pope Leo the 4th is 69 years old.
