Mikan walks to school and Shimi-chan calls to her from behind. Mikan notices that Shimi-chan looks a bit different from usual. Shimi-chan supposes it's because she's wearing her summer clothes. Mikan gets home and immediately starts cleaning out her wardrobe. She realizes that all her clothes from last year were rather drab. She decides to buy some brighter-colored clothes this year, and she goes shopping with Shimi-chan.
