How to find percentage expenses in Excel
Click on the cell where you want the result to appear.
Type the equals sign (=) to start the formula.
Type ABS( to begin the absolute function, which ensures the result is positive regardless of the order of the numbers.
Select the first cell containing the number from which you want to find the percentage difference (e.g., A1).
Type a minus sign (-) to subtract.
Select the second cell containing the other number (e.g., B1).
Close the parentheses ) for the absolute function.
Type a forward slash (/) to divide.
Select the first cell containing the number from which you want to find the percentage difference (e.g., A1).
Type an asterisk (*) to multiply.
Type 100 to convert the result to a percentage.
Press Enter.
Excel will calculate the percentage difference and display the result in the cell you selected.
