Taking Off With Teach to One 360

Seventh grader Del Barnhill's favorite subject is math. Through a combination of hard work and natural affinity, Del frequently found himself mastering concepts days or even weeks before his classmates. This meant that he often spent class time waiting for the teacher to move on to a new skill.

In 2013, Del's school implemented Teach to One 360, an instructional model that enables personalized learning. Each day, Del receives a unique schedule tailored to his skill level. Del no longer has to wait for the teacher to decide when the class is ready for a new skill. With Teach to One 360, Del is able to learn at his own pace, moving on to new skills when he's ready and accelerating his learning alongside his classmates.
