For our annual charity appeal, we are raising money for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and War Child to support families living in war. We’re also working with Parallel Histories, which helps schools teach sensitive and controversial histories such as those of Northern Ireland, Israel and Palestine.

We spoke with Dr. Javid Abdelmoneim, who works for MSF, to discuss his work in Sudan and Gaza. He shared the importance of donations to the Guardian and Observer’s charity appeal so medical staff like him can continue to treat patients in war-torn areas.
