Supercomputer JUPITER: The Journey to Exascale

Forschungszentrum Jülich will be home to Europe’s first exascale computer - called JUPITER. The supercomputer is set to be the first in Europe to surpass the threshold of one exaflop/s or one quintillion (“1” followed by 18 zeros) calculations per second. JUPITER's massive computing power will help push the boundaries of scientific simulations and train large-scale AI models. With over 70 exaflop/s for AI model training, JUPITER will be one of the world's fastest supercomputers for AI.
