⚪ Understanding the human impact on Europe`s ecosystems and biodiversity ⚪

“The vision for TREC is really serving big society environmental problems like climate change, but also biodiversity decline and loss”, says Professor Peer Bork, Director of EMBL Heidelberg. To understand life at all scales, international researchers are investigating the effects of human behavior on the climate, ecosystems and their inhabitants. They are collecting samples from coastal habitats, the earth, the transects and the air in 24 European countries. These samples are examined in the advanced mobile truck laboratories equipped with ZEISS microscopes.
