Finns are said to be the world’s happiest people. But are they also better parents? Many who have children eye Finland with envy. The country is the embodiment of a family-friendly society. People are amazed at the relaxed way Finns handle their kids, the level of government support and the safety of the surroundings. Many Finnish parents leave their children unsupervised, sleeping in strollers outside cafes, while they go in for coffee. What is more, the Finns love nature and they spend time outdoors with their children often as they can.
