Hidden Kyoto Garden famous for Weeping Plum Trees and Fresh Kyoto Sake | Fushimi, Kyoto

Early March, we visited a local shrine in the Fushimi ward of Kyoto called Jonangu Shrine which is famous for its weeping plum trees.
And oh, how we wish we went a couple weeks later (mid March'ish) where all the plum trees would've been in full bloom.
Either way, this shrine is definitely worth a visit - especially if you want to escape the crowds all thoughout Kyoto.

Afterwards we visited Fushimi Sake Village in which 18 different local breweries all came together in this bar-like-building to allow you to mix and match different sakes with Japanese foods. From sweet to dry sakes... you can really find which sake suits your taste.

If you have a favorite sake brand, do share with us down below so we can give it a try!

Thanks for watching!
