IIT Bombay Campus tour

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) was founded in 1958 with the help of funds provided by UNESCO. It was the first Indian institution to be established with foreign assistance. The institute is recognised as an Institution of Eminence by the Indian government. It has a sprawling campus situated in Powai, Mumbai and consists of 16 departments, 19 centres and one school of excellence offering numerous bachelors, masters and doctoral courses.

IIT Bombay stands third in Engineering, fourth in Overall and tenth in Management category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2019) rankings. It has ranked on 34th position among the top 200 Universities in Asia category by the QS Asia Ranking 2020, 8th among the universities in BRICS countries by the QS BRICS Ranking 2019 and 152nd in QS World University Rankings in 2020.
