B.V. Jagadeesh
Serial Entrepreneur and V.C.
Biographical Summary:
B V Jagadeesh is a successful Serial Entrepreneur in Technology field, a Venture Capitalist and a Philanthropist. He was the co-founder and CTO of Exodus communications in 1993 that pioneered the concept of Internet data centers. He was instrumental in successful IPO of Exodus in 1998.
Jagadeesh seed funded NetScaler in 1999 and became President and CEO in 2000. NetScaler was successfully sold to Citrix and Jagadeesh served as Group VP and GM for Citrix Application Networking Division. In 1999 Jagadeesh Seed funded and was Chairman of Netmagic Solutions in India that pioneered the concept of Managed Data Centers in India. Netmagic was sold to NTT in 2012. Jagadeesh also Seed funded Edurite in 1999 that pioneered the Digital Content in India and is a well-known brand name in India as part of Pearson.
Currently Jagadeesh is a Managing Partner at KAAJ Ventures. He is an investor and active board member at Cloud Velocity, ScaleArc, Nutanix, Fonemine and Whodini in the US and Triumph Software and Rakya Technoogies in India. He is also a mentor at IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Ahmedabad. Mr. Jagadeesh teaches Entrereneurial class at Santa Clara University for MBA. He is focusing on both US and India based entrepreneurs.
He also worked in senior positions at 3Com and Novel before founding Exodus. He is based out of Silicon valley, CA.
Jagadeesh is actively involved in several India and US nonprofits uplifting education and health care such as UVCE Foundation, One School At A Time ( OSAAT), Bagalur Village Schools, Akshaya Patra, India Literacy Project ( ILP), Shankara Cancer Hospital, Shankara Eye Hospitals, Boys and Girls Club in California, India Community Center and Morgan Autism also in California.
