Taken from The Exuviae Project Notes: What follows is two things. One, it’s the recovered diary of the late Kelsey Mercer, the death of whom so shocked a community and remains unsolved to this day. And two, an attempt to collect and organize the photographs and written materials recovered from [address removed], also known as The Linwood House, where Kelsey spent his final days. The house, now condemned, was previously the site of not one but two mysterious disappearances, first Zach Linwood, then months later his younger brother, Adam Linwood. This was preceded a year earlier by the tragic death by Carbon Monoxide poisoning of their parents Ed and Barbara Linwood, who had lived in the home for many years. Several reports have surfaced disputing the legitimacy of the events contained within, some focused on the photographs, others on Kelsey Mercer’s mental state during the writing of his diary. The goal of this project is not to disprove any theory but rather to correlate all available materials in the hopes of understanding how so much tragedy could occur in such a small space, a statement which, if the evidence herein is to be believed, may be the furthest thing from the truth.
