Why Old School Loggers Bend Their Chainsaw Bars

Many of the old school pro loggers have developed techniques for chainsaws that have worked well for them for a very long time. Some of them have gotten lost with more modern techniques. This is a technique that has been used by loggers wildland firefighters and used to be used by the US Forest Service. If a chainsaw throws a chain, meaning the chain falls off in use, this is a fast easy way to put it back on. And no, it does not damage the saw at all. If you try to tell me any bad things are going to happen from doing this, you will risk having me and probably a lot of others pointing and laughing at you. Don't be that person.
