Surviving My First Ever Indian Train 🇮🇳

In this video, I leave Bengaluru and embark on my first-ever train journey in India, heading to Chennai on the east coast. The trip takes about 4.5 hours. I was surprised by how modern the train station in Bangalore was—it felt more like an airport terminal than a railway station. After a bit of confusion, I found my platform and located the train I had booked.

It took a little time to find my carriage, but some kind locals pointed me in the right direction. Once on board, I settled into my seat in a cozy little cabin. The train departed about 10 minutes late, but the journey was smooth and enjoyable.

Along the way, I tried some local food from onboard vendors, gave a tour of the 2nd and 3rd class cabins, and spoke with a few train staff who were busy cleaning and serving food. I also captured the changing scenery and gave a quick look at the toilet facilities—which, admittedly, weren’t the best.

Overall, I found the train ride to be very comfortable and great value for money. On arrival in Chennai, I hopped into an auto rickshaw to my hotel, checked in, and ended the video with a quick room tour.
