5x tech founder and arch mentor to 200+ other founders over the last decade, Josh Futterman is the founding General Partner of Papa Bear Ventures, a unique hybrid venture fund based in NYC. Papa Bear invests vertical agnostically in software and software enabled services only in the narrow band from late pre-seed to early seed -- post revenue, but prior to the point at which most seed investors will commit.

The entire philosophy of the fund is predicated on Josh's ability to support portfolio founders not only with business and funding acumen, but in dealing with the personal trials and tribulations of the early-stage founder journey. The fund's brand-new structure is designed to facilitate more diverse investments and to enable anyone who is an accredited investor to invest in high end, early stage startups at a low entry point with lessened downside risk. In addition, Josh's mission is to have the PBV structure serve as a template for any potential fund manager, especially underserved minorities and women, to get a first fund off the ground much more quickly and easily than has traditionally been the case.
