We have a special program at South Placer Jail’s G-tank for the women inmates sentenced for non-violent, non-sexual crimes. The program focuses on consistency, organization, cleanliness and hard work. Every day, the cells are meticulously cleaned, beds are made military style and the rooms are organized. In addition to cleaning, the female inmates work jobs and participate in educational classes at the jail. The classes and work details help inmates earn time off their sentence, all while learning valuable tools, strong work ethic, coping mechanisms and skills to be productive in society. The goal is to help the inmates get away and stay away from the things that brought them into jail to begin with. Thanks to the hard work of Correctional Officers Mitchell, Martin, Wright, Pulos, Solorzano, Maniscalco, Regan, Burns, Bender, Woodin and Gilliland for preparing the inmates to be successful in integrating back into society and giving back to the community!
