Google is officially backing the Xbox One with Bluetooth drivers in Android Android's latest release
Microsoft's Xbox One drivers have not always worked well with Android. While Microsoft added Bluetooth to the Xbox One controllers two years ago, several games have had problems with button mapping. Google is now officially backing the Xbox One controllers with Bluetooth in its latest release of Android Pie. XDA-Developers reports that a Google engineer has closed a long-standing bug report on the Xbox One controller mapping problems, noting that they are fixed in Android Pie.
The solution has been placed in the Android Pie kernel, so all versions of it will be included. A variety of games support Bluetooth controllers on Android. That will make playing Fortnite on Android much more interesting along the way, especially if other game developers begin to see mobile devices as another opportunity to include driver support.
