DWG to Revit - Cable Trays

The journey is on. We are taking more and more systems from 2D drawings into 3D BIM models.

Automation can take off a serious amount of work from our shoulder.
We were able to achieve a serious progress in converting 2D AutoCAD files into Revit models.
In this video, we are linking a 2D Cable Tray design DWG into Revit, and then the drawing is processed in Dynamo. As a result, we are converting the desired Cable Tray DWG layers into Revit models.

This process can also be implemented on any duct or piping systems. We are also able to detect block locations in the DWG-s, and place those into our model. (Lamps, Smoke Detectors, Sprinkler heads, etc..)

The export UI was created with DataShapes nodepack.
