2024 GCSE Geography exams are just 54 days away! Join me as we cover 90 facts in 90 days! Today's topic... earthquake features!
There are three key features of an earthquake: the focus, the epicentre, and seismic waves. The focus is the point in the Earth’s crust where the earthquake originates, and the epicentre is the point directly above this on the Earth’s surface. Seismic waves are waves of energy that spread out from the focus and cause vibrations. They are measured using seismometers.
