How to open BIOS/UEFI on laptops HP Pavilion, ASUS, Lenovo, MSI, Acer, Samsung, Toshiba, DEXP, Sony? Or how to access BIOS/UEFI on PC motherboards ASRock, ASUS, Foxconn, GYBABYTE, MSI, VIA, Zotac? In this video I’ll show how to do that.
The fastest way to access BIOS is to press special key. On desktop PC this is Delete key. You must just press it several times while turning on your computer. After this you will see the BIOS menu.
On laptops, you should find which key is responsible for entering the BIOS. Each laptop manufacturer has a different key. But don’t worry, I add all keys in the description. For example, on ASUS laptops you need to press Esc or F2 key. On some laptops you also need to press Fn and a special key at the same time to access BIOS. For example, Fn and F2 buttons. Also, some laptops have a separate button to enter the bios. For example, Sony Vaio laptops have a special key that called “assist key”, as you can see on your screens.
If you have a modern device, there is another way to access BIOS. You can open BIOS directly from Windows 10 or Windows 11. All you need is to press the start button and by holding shift, click reboot. After reboot. you will see the menu.
1. Click Continue
2. Advanced options
3. UEFI Firmware settings
4. Restart
Sometimes you will not be able to enter the BIOS using a special key when quick start enabled in Windows. To turn it off, click start, go to control panel, hardware and sound, power options, choose what the power buttons do, change settings that are currently unavailable and uncheck “Turn on fast startup”, then click “Save Changes”. Reboot your device and try to open BIOS.
As you can see It’s very easy to open BIOS on your device. In the next videos I'll show you how to change the boot device priority in any BIOS. Links will be in the description.
