Attaching an Audio Interface to a Boom Arm — Getting the Vocaster Two off my desk

My Vocaster Two Audio interface was taking up space on my desk so I devised a way to attach it to a low profile boom arm. This method will work with most of the audio interfaces used by most creators - TicToc creators, YouTube creators, bloggers, vloggers and anyone else who does audio work.

UPDATE: This setup for my Vocaster two is working well for me as of August 22, 2024. I have had NO issues with it at all. It's used constantly. I'm very happy with it.

I’ve been watching Tom Buck’s YouTube channel for several years. He’s shown this Rode Procaster II audio interface on a boom arm above his desk. Tom even created a video showing how he did it (link below). While I wanted to do the same with my Vocaster Two it does’t have tapped holes in the bottom like the Procasters do. Obviously drilling holes in the bottom wasn’t a good idea so I discovered another way to accomplish the task.

My next challenge is some cable management for the new addition. I have some ideas and will include them in a future video of my desk setup. Check back.

Tom Buck’s channel has an abundance of videos that may help anyone who’s interested in audio or video. He’a a great teacher. He should be because he taught high school students for several years. I’ve learned a lot from Tom so I suggest that you check him out.

I added in an extra bonus. My headphone stand was also taking up desk space so I discovered an easy way to solve that problem too. As per my requirements the fix is one that could be changed in the future.
