First live airdrop from C-130J Hercules | Royal New Zealand Air Force

Royal New Zealand Air Force C-130J Hercules crews are testing and developing their search and rescue processes with the first live airdrop of survival gear from the aircraft.

The Unipac Sea Rescue Apparatus is designed for survivors lost at sea and holds an 8-12 person life raft and a survival kit. This training pack is the same shape and weight and is ideal for crews to perfect the practice drops.
